Mandela Foods is a worker owned cooperative serving the West Oakland community. They are a grocer that features 100% organic products. In addition to being a full service grocery store, they offer nutritional education for the Oakland community.
Mandela strives to make the greatest impact on the local community by sourcing all produce from within 170 miles of their Oakland store and acting as a distributor of these goods to local convenience stores to promote wholesome, local consumption.
In the near future, Mandela has plans for online ordering of products that will then be delivered to your car across the street in the BART parking lot. Stay tuned for more!
